Ålesund is beautifully situated between fjord and mountains and is famous for its distinctive Art Nouveau architecture. On this excursion, you’ll explore the town’s highlights on foot and finish with a stunning view from Aksla City Mountain – one of Norway’s most iconic urban viewpoints.

At the foot of Aksla, the hike begins — a pleasant climb up to Rundskue and onward to the main viewpoint at the top. Here you’ll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views over the town, surrounding islands, and the Sunnmøre Alps in the distance. The descent follows the famous 418 steps back down to the city centre.

During the walk, you’ll enjoy local snacks and drinks while your guide shares stories and insights about life in Ålesund.
