The tour starts in the centre of Honningsvåg and continues up to the top of the so-called NATO Mountain, named after the Air Force radar station that used to be located here and formed part of NATO’s radar system.

On the way up and down, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of mountains and fjords, the sea, and vast open landscapes, with several photo stops along the route.

In midwinter, it’s polar night, and there is no sun—even if the ATV safari takes place in the middle of the day. This creates a magical atmosphere in nature, while houses and streetlights form warm points of light across the landscape. As spring approaches, the days grow brighter and brighter, and the scenery turns sparkling white against the blue sea and fjord. 

The activity takes place outdoors in winter conditions, and weather, terrain, and driving conditions may vary. The organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the tour if safety conditions require it. Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license (class B), bring their physical driver’s license with them, and be over 18 years old. Passengers must be over 8 years old. Two passengers per ATV; if you wish to ride alone, two tickets must be purchased. The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the program, route, and content if necessary, including due to weather, terrain, or other unforeseen circumstances.
