This tour takes you to two of Lofoten’s best beaches: Hauklandstranda, which Lonely Planet has named the finest beach in Europe, and Uttakleiva, which many consider Norway’s most romantic beach with its combination of fine sand and large rocks.

At Hauklandstranda, there is now a modern visitor center with a café and facilities for guests. The beaches lie at the edge of the open sea in tiny villages with only a handful of inhabitants. The bus ride takes you through the beautiful Lofoten landscape before you continue on foot over a low mountain pass between the two beaches. The walk between the beaches follows a clear trail and takes about 30–40 minutes at a relaxed pace. Here you’ll enjoy iconic views in all directions and plenty of photo opportunities, ensuring pictures of some of Norway’s most photographed beaches.

The colors are Caribbean, with white sand and tempting turquoise water, but with the Arctic Ocean just around the corner, the water temperature means that only the bravest take a dip.

In the first half of April, it should be expected that it will be dark towards the end of the tour.
