Low clouds drift through steep green mountains as a fjord lies perfectly still below, reflecting sky and peaks like glass. From a quiet viewpoint above the valley, Senja reveals its softer side—lush, serene, and almost unreal in the gentle Arctic light.

Join us on an unforgettable journey to the dramatic and scenic west coast of Senja, Norway’s second-largest island. Senja is renowned for its rugged beauty, towering peaks, and crystal-clear waters, offering some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Arctic.

We travel along the National Tourist Routes, guiding you through dramatic scenery where steep mountains rise sharply from the sea and breathtaking views appear around every bend. On the outer coast of Senja, where ocean and sky meet, the tourist route winds along the ridge above the village of Bergsbotn. Here, a 44-metre-long viewing platform offers a magnificent panorama of Bergsfjorden and the surrounding high mountains.

From Senja’s dramatic west coast, the journey continues by ferry to Kvaløya, before heading onward to Tromsø. Guests who wish may disembark in Tromsø, while others can spend time exploring Tromsø city centre independently. Refreshments are available for purchase on board the ferry.

With its striking landscapes and peaceful atmosphere, Senja’s west coast and Kvaløya promise unforgettable memories from one of Norway’s most extraordinary natural wonders.

Golden light from the low Arctic sun reflects across a calm fjord on Senja, Norway, as a small group pauses at a mountain viewpoint to take in the vast landscape. Snow-dusted peaks, deep blue water, and fresh spring greenery come together in a quiet moment where nature completely steals the show.
