The waters around Lofoten are home to one of Europe’s largest populations of sea eagles. With a wingspan of up to 2.5 metres, these majestic birds rule the skies above the archipelago. While nature offers no guarantees, the chances of witnessing a sea eagle soaring overhead or perched along the shoreline are high.
Your experienced skipper shares stories of local life – from Viking heritage and traditional fisheries to modern-day island communities. Weather permitting, we make a short stop for photos, allowing you to capture the striking contrasts of white beaches and emerald waters. On the return journey, we pass the iconic Fiskerkona (“The Fisherman’s Wife”), standing watch at the harbour entrance – a tribute to the strong coastal culture of Northern Norway.
Prepare for fresh sea air and wind in your hair – this is Lofoten at its most raw and beautiful.
